The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, embarking on a major effort to improve its 22 facilities, came to us for a new brand identity. The new symbol fuses together an “L” for Library, with the lower case “i” for “information.”
We showcased the new symbol on inventive exterior and interior signage. A variety of design solutions resulted from collaborations with the different architectural firms who handled the renovations.
We also designed a fleet of Library vans using playful illustrations of Library users.
