Working at Landesberg Design

Current Opening

Art Director / Senior Graphic Designer (view job listing)

We’re looking for an integral member of our team to lead major client-facing projects with minimal oversight.

We are a small, hands-on studio — our designers stay close to the work. We don’t typically use project managers; instead, creative staff manage their own workloads and communicate directly with clients. Our designers are skilled across all phases of design — from strategy, research, and concept through execution. They work comfortably both in producing high-level design output and in offering feedback and direction to other designers, while also providing art direction to freelance photographers, illustrators, and other collaborators.

Initially, you’ll work closely with the President and Creative Director to learn our processes, methodologies, clients, and quality standards. Day to day, you’ll operate independently or collaboratively depending on the project.

Who We Hire

Excellent designers with strong skills in publication and website design. We maintain a reputation for excellence and are looking for someone who will elevate our work.

Multi-skilled creatives — many of our designers also have illustration or photography experience. Motion graphics or front-end development skills are a plus.

Detail-oriented professionals who understand typographic standards, build clean style sheets, and are fluent in print production processes.

Confident, empathetic presenters who can communicate effectively with clients.

Mission-driven designers interested in academic, cultural, community, and philanthropic work. Most of our clients are nonprofits; budgets are lean, but the work is rewarding, and we strive for design excellence.

Curious learners who thrive on understanding new ideas and industries.

Long-term thinkers seeking a sustainable, career-oriented role. We value balance and longevity—many of our team members have been here for years.

Collaborative in-person contributors — we operate on a flexible hybrid model, typically spending time together in the office for collaborative work. While we have a few fully remote team members, this role is not remote.

Adaptable problem-solvers who embrace change and the evolving nature of our industry.

People who ask questions. Curiosity and communication are key to success here.

People who surprise us. Tell us what you uniquely bring—skills, perspectives, or experiences.
