What do you collect?

I’ve learned to release most books back into the wild. What remains are a handful of signed favorites — Michael Chabon, Zadie Smith, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Patricia Lockwood, Chuck Klosterman, and a few others whose sentences stay with me.

Any hidden talents?

I’m a surprisingly capable cook. Lately I’m experimenting with homemade biscotti — cinnamon–vanilla and cherry–pistachio are the house favorites.
